Peeling off Layers

.... today - first flower on one cucumber plant ....

..... remember not understanding what the fuss about the background means ...... maturity brings love of preparing backgrounds ..... working from the depths ....... I also did a little research on the Icon and found some interesting things ..... so I feel very motivated ......

.... started reading Kahlil Gibran and looked up his artworks on fan sites ..... I like his art work straight away .... it is similar to my favourite Blake, Redon, Moreau and other so called symbolists .... so I look forward to spending more time on this ......

.... read through the Brave New World from Aldous Huxley .... it is a small book and there are references to it always everywhere .... and so I always wanted to read it in full ..... finally ..... and now I am caught into my own little craze of "classifying" all around according to the BNW system ...... it surely is catchy ..... it's perhaps more the whole "phenomena" of this book which makes it so unforgettable rather than anything else, now I understand .....

.... seems very hard to do any creative work on time schedule ... things need to be tried out and thought over .... re done many times ..... that all is not accounted for in illustrations I do right now .... strategies are many and each choice of strategy makes a difference in the final result .............and sometimes strategies just seem to disappear in mid air ..............

....... my row of dill and parsley sprouted ...... beans are overgrowing cucumbers ..... sweat peas started growing and nothing got lost - yet ...... planing to plant some tomatoes because okra seedlings did not all germinate and so there will be still some space left in the third box .......

....'our local council had a sale of native plants today so we took the opportunity to get some beauties as we've planned ..... so let's hope they will grow well .... some grevilleas - shrubs and ground-covers, two kinds of grasses, some flowering plants, and some ferns and palms......

.... working on illustrations and enjoying every moment of it .....

..... this week this word clearly stud up on my mind ...... a term we loved to hate ...... how fitting analogy this is with the system that I did not want to be disloyal to this week ...... just let me compare - I remember it so well - because we are building a better society, we were told as children, we shall now call things by new names ..... and because we knew 'we have to', we made it easier for ourselves by thinking that it does not matter what word we use as long as we know its meaning .......
