Peeling off Layers

.... I took photos of stages as they progressed .....

... started working on another portrait ... just a small size .....

.... today the last layer was dry enough to make some final touches on M's portrait .... so whom should I paint next? I miss it already ... I had such a good time painting this ..... thanks ..... it is a trial this one - a first of such type I ever made .... and so I leave it as it is for now and consider it completed ..... photo of the finished portrait is under works documented in progress - portrait of M .....

..... a very satisfying work because of my thoughts being concentrated on M and all her great ways while mixing and layering the paint ..... it makes me smile .....

...... thank you for being my model ..... I started painting the portrait background soon after returning back home ...... I think it looks like you, but I am afraid I will still spoil it on the way as I continue to paint ...... so I took a photo of this first stage which is always the "freshest" as we know ..... the photo shows that the paint is still wet .....

..... well it did taste very good .... firm and crunchy ...... first cucumber from our veg-patch ..... we had used a lot of salad .... and basil too .... one "thotakura pappu" dish (toor dhal cooked with chinese spinach see : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amaranth under Vegetables) .......

..... some gingerbread today ....
... and it does feel like Christmas ....

... drew horse today - for Mary .... was pleased with its 'smiling' expression .... and Mary was happy .... hope the art class can continue next year ....

.... after years of strange confusion .... Christmases are no longer a time of hectic activity ..... no cleaning no shopping no decorating no menu making no baking (well yes really - but in no way excessive)........ just slowing down and taking it in ......... doing the same small things as last year and planing perhaps a picnic trip to Watamoloo - the most beautiful spot on the Earth ......
