Peeling off Layers

.... should I start to blog anew ??? .... now after so much hassle to get the site going again it feels somehow passe ... and also where do I start from after such a long break ....
... EXHIBITIONS ... after a very long time of no exhibiting I participated in three small exhibitions and they all happened to take place during the same weekend .. last weekend of July ....

...have been spending hours on RedBubble .... http://www.redbubble.com/people/annamora this is my profile address ... very interesting to see all kinds of art groups .... some of them I could have not even imagined ..... RedBubble wants images to be loaded in large resolution while on this site I try to keep them small ... that makes it a lot of work with all the resizing ... I posted under "drawings" some older and some recent pieces from my Tuesday Life on Flinders group ....

.... well ... I am waiting for the "changeover" .... this is suspenseful .... meanwhile I joined the RedBubble art site and created my profile there as "annamora" ...posting some old life drawing sketches ... could not get them well photographed though and so will wait for a better light outside to re-take them ...... also joined a group on RedBubble called Remodernists ... found it fascinating ....... painting meanwhile .... but results aren't showing just yet .... for a while anyway ........ so I hope my "peeling" stays in existence ....

... started another pool picture .... the challenge is in the complexity of it's clouds ..... and in the "smooth" surface of the water ... ... the meaning is in colours and shapes .... and in the strong contrast of light and dark hues ... we naturally perceive images as most striking if they contain a good balance between the two opposites on the scale from the darkest to the lightest tone ...and rich transitions between them two ....... in the tradition of G.D. Friedrich all that which is depicted as an image of the land and air stands for an image of inner personal thoughts .....

.... reading Tomas Haliks books and going to cool down at our local ocean pool ... made me to imitate his ways of looking at things ... and so I think of the water in the pool which I love .... as it gets renewed regularly by the tide ... without this there would be no attraction to the pool at all as - obviously - it would start to stink very soon ..... very bad .... and so as Halik talks about the catholic church needing to be OPEN ... I thing the ocean pool is a very good image for this .....

.... this is a photo from Czech news showing Tomas Halik and Dalai Lama talking to people in Prague .... I found it by accident because I was looking up some photo of Tomas Halik because he is my favourite writer and I am just reading his two books I just got as a present (THANK YOU) ..... Halik is very popular among the people who question religions because he is not afraid of questioning and reasoning ..... he does not claim that he owns the Truth ..... but rather he points to the "mysterious nature" of Truth .........

.... well ...... today the temperature reached 41 degrees here ... and all plants seem to be under a lot of stress .... but posting a photo from yesterday morning .... beautiful little flower of the okra plant - I see for the first time .... in the menu on the right there are more photos from the same day ... basil before being harvested and made into a very good pesto ..... and growing eggplants also flowering right now .....

.... and so .... could continue on the "pool" picture .... as Jung says - pool - is an archetype of the collective subconscious mind ..... in this way it had been used also by Stephen King in his Lisey's Story ..... and I also have in my mind a link between the idea of the pool (of collective subconscious mind) and the idea of Narcissus .... while Jung looks into the depths of the pool ....... Narcissus looks only at the surface and sees only a beautiful reflection of himself .... while there is no avoiding of what is under the surface ....

.... mass contains symbolically necessary steps of psychic transformation towards wholeness ......
